Tiana Leeds, LMFT, offers counseling in downtown Santa Barbara for individuals, couples, and families. While she focuses primarily on working with young women and highly sensitive people, she welcomes clients of all ages, genders, and backgrounds.
Hello and welcome to my therapy practice. You are likely here because you are looking for help, either for yourself or a loved one, and I am honored to be part of that journey. My aim is to support you as you move toward increased healing and wholeness in your life. I take a collaborative, practical, and compassionate approach and empower you to recognize and utilize your strengths as a means of moving through fear, sadness, and insecurities. While I focus primarily on families and young women, my practice is open to all ages, cultures, genders, sexualities, and relationship configurations. If you feel that I may be a good fit for you as your counselor, give me a call and we can talk about what you are going through and set up an appointment if it seems right for you. I welcome the opportunity to support you in creating new, healthier, more productive ways of living, and ultimately, help you achieve increased peace and connection both with yourself and others.
My clinical training includes working with diverse client populations in individual, couple, family, and group settings at the Family Therapy Institute, the Community Counseling and Education Center, and AHA!. At AHA!, I worked as an in-school and after-school group facilitator for teens and as an individual adolescent counselor.
Prior to my work with AHA!, I collaborated with a team of teachers and UCSB Ph.D. candidates to develop a behavior reflection program at Canalino and Harding Elementary Schools. This program was later developed into a social and emotional learning app called Hello Yello (https://www.helloyello.net/).
I serve on the board of the Santa Barbara chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (SB-CAMFT) as the Chief Financial Officer and have been an SB-CAMFT board member since 2015. I am also a statewide CAMFT member and have been since 2014.
On a more personal note, outside of my love for psychology and the therapeutic journey, I find joy walking in nature, painting, and cooking. The things that nourish me most are time with family and friends, writing, swimming, and music.
